Sponsorship

Sponsors may be one-time or on-going.

In either case, to be a sponsor, the individual or organization must contribute a minimum of $2,500 or equivalent value during a year. These sponsors are our Bronze level sponsors. If a sponsor contributes $10,000 to $24,999 in one year, they are at the silver level, $25,000 to $49,999 they are gold level sponsors, and $50,000 or more in a year, they are platinum level sponsors.

There are also “Keystone” sponsors that help us in various ways during our early years. These organizations and persons that have contributed to a critical extent, that without their contribution, we probably would not be at the point we are today.

Recognition

Recognition of sponsors occurs in our newsletters and other communications as appropriate. They also are listed on our “Wall of Sponsors” and on our web site. Sponsors receive complementary copies of our newsletter as a way to stay informed about nanotechnology in general and about us.

We actively seek the support of sponsors since without them, we cannot carry our out programs.

Gift Utilization

Sponsors may, to a point, designate how their gift is to be used. However, we reserve the right to refuse a gift designated for a purpose not in line with our needs. Examples of sponsors’ gifts could be for a particular educational program, or for specific equipment needed in our laboratory or office to carry out a particular program. Sponsors may also contribute “in-kind” materials, time, or equipment needed for our operation or a program. Examples of in-kind needs are IT, web, and database skills to help us set up an operate our computer and database infrastructure. Other areas of need are indicated on our “Help Wanted” pages.
